Jesus Wants Your Lunch Money
This morning was incredible. I love The Assembly, The Duvall Family, and church family.
That pretty much sums up how am I am filling this morning. I am blessed beyond measure. This morning Pastor Danny preached another sermon on th series we have been doing this month called "Moving in Miracles." It has been such an awesome series and I have really gained a lot from this. Our first sermon was how to be a miracle delivery agent. How to be open and sensitive to Gods voice throughout your everyday life, I cant even explain how much this has changed my life. Today we talked about Jesus working miracles through us and how when miracles happen in your life it comes from that personal place that most of the time we only let Jesus into.....IF we even do that. Letting God into your personal place can sometimes be difficult. We know he already sees and knows everything about us but for some reason that deep personal stuff is always hard to let him get involved in. Pastor Danny talked about the miracle of the 5 loaves and 2 fishes......saying "God wants your lunch money" Funny huh? I thought so. God can take the smallest thing in your life...like lunch...and turn it into a miracle that changes lives forever.
Im probably not doing the sermon any justice it was just too awesome.
Next month we start on the "Breaking Addictions" series. I am very much looking forward to what God is going to do through that.
On another not today was Tichinas first tim to come to The Assembly and guess what??? She got a coffee mug and a chocolate chip cookie!!! What? I was like uh I didnt get that my first time. Anyway, Im very impressed with out Guest Services ministry. They are pretty awesome.
Today we send our girls back to Tennessee and I am so sad to see them go. It has been such a fun weekend with Ava and Emma. Atleast we have church tonight to cheer me up.
GOD IS GOOD, FRIENDS!!!

V-I-C-T-O-R-Y
I wasnt planning on blogging today but after this mornings service at Plainview Jesus Name Church I just HAVE to tell you about it!
I got to church right on time today and guess what? There was no where to sit! HOW EXCITING!!! The church was packed out. Praise the Lord. The worship was incredible. You could just feel excitment and expectancy from the minute service started. Now, my pastor always preaches awesome sermons but this morning was absolutly outstanding. I can even put in to words how great this sermon was. One analogy used was when a strange dog comes into your yard you dont let out a wimpy welp saying "get out" no you let all the authority you have rise up in you and yell at that dog to get out, thats what we need to start doing when the devil comes snarling into our camp. Let all the Godly authority and power you have rise up in you and rebuke that devil and situation out of your life! There was so much more to this sermon and I could write about it all day long. If you live near by go get the CD...seriously!
Im so excited to be apart of the Jesus Name Church. Im amazed by what God is doing in that place. I cant even contain my excitment, Ive been shouting all day!!
On top of this amazing morning I came home to find my Aunt Sharon and Uncle Darius are in from Missouri!! Whooo hooo they are so awesome and I was so happy to see them! Now, if I can get Bro. Ray and Sis. Vonda down here from Missouri soon, Ill be one happy girl!! :)
God is good, Im shoutin all through this day.

10.
I have been trying to get more ideas for this blog and learn more about it but honestly I just havent been that successful! I did stumble across a suggestion that when you start a blog you should tell your readers a little bit about yourself...well most of the people reading this are my friends and already know about me! So with that being said Im going to switch it up a bit and tell you 10 things that most of my friends dont know!Fun huh? Yeah I thought so.
1. I have every Paula Abdul CD that the woman has ever made.....no joke.
2. I have a major crush on John-David Duggar! Ya know the family from Arkansas that has 19 kids and their own TV show? Yeah. Well, John-David is polite, cute, religious, and comes from a seemingly great family. What more could you need?? :)
3. I dip cheeto puffs in ketchup. Dont ask me why, I have no idea.
4. Im in college to be a teacher but my dream job (other than being on broadway of course!) is to be a medical examiner/detective....or just play one on TV.
5. Im a football fanatic....even to the point where I have to check the NFL app on my phone everyday.....multiple times.
6. When I get really upset I can take out a pint of ice cream in 30 seconds....ok, that was an exaggeration....maybe more like 50 seconds.
7. I believe everyone deserves a second chance....or third.
8. I go to Platos Closet about twice a week and always walk out with something. That store is like a treasure hunt.
9. I wish I had red hair.
10.Above everything else the most important thing in my life is Jesus Christ. and church. Where would I be without his grace
It was kinda difficult trying to think of 10 things. Ill have to find more blog challenges.
Anyway, I survived this week. Thank the Lord. I also somehow managed to pass all of my midterms. Thank the Lord again! Now I am off for three whole days (exciting!!!) and Im ready to spend them at church and with friends!
I guess this is all for now, folks!!

Coffe Mugs and Cabinet Doors
So as I have mentioned before I now work in a little restaurant. Most of our customers are all over the age of 50....seriously. We may have a few here in there come in that are younger but its not often! So pretty much I hang out with elderly people all day, but I have come to really enjoy that. You can learn so much from these and people and their stories always amaze me. Mr. Darrell is a regular and I see him just about everyday. He is a very kind hearted man and also the lead singer of a southern gospel group. Cool, huh? Before I get to the main point of this story let me give ya some side knowledge. There is a cabinet door that sticks out farther then the counter in one of our work stations. Whoever thought this idea was a good one, obviously had no sense. People hit their head on this door ALL the time. Well, I seem to be the one that does it just about everyday. Today I slammed it so hard that I now have a beautiful black goose egg on my forehead. (attractive!)
While I was filling up Mr. Darrells coffe mug I asked him in a joking manner if he had any life advice. He then turns and says "How many times are you going to hit your head on that cabinet before you realize its there and stop" (At this point im like...uhh what?) I said "Well, I dont hit it on purpose, I just get wrapped up in what Im doing that I dont think about it until I hit it." He then says "And what do you do after you hit it? You acknowledge that you messed up again, and keep going" Im still a little confused at this point but he clears it up for me by saying "Kaitlyn, we are all humans. We dont go looking to make mistakes but sometimes we get so wrapped up in the moment and make them anyway. What makes you a person of integrity is how you handle a mistake after its been made. If you were to hit your head and then lay in the floor and cry well that would get you no where. Just like in life, If you make a mistake you acknowledge that the mistake has been made, fix it, let it heal and move on!"
He is so right and what a great analogy! We never go out looking to make a mistake but sometimes it just happens but its how we handle it that makes us people of integity. We arent perfect people but we do serve a perfect God. I thank Him for His mercy and grace that covers us! I hope you got a little something out of this story. I sure did!
On another note, I have some exciting news! I am currently associated with the Central Arkansas Performing Arts Academy. Our first show is November 5th and I am SO excited! The weird thing is, Im also nervous! Ive been performing pretty much forever in church and school plays and have never really been that nervous. I dont know what it is about this that makes it more nerving but I'll be sure to keep you updated on how its all going.
Im also excited that tomorrow night at The Assembly Bro. Bob Willhite will be ministering. He is an 81 year old man who is an amazing prayer warrior. Im so ready to hear what he has to say.Im sure Ill be blogging again after church tomorrow to tell you all about it!
Oh, and shout out to my first follower, Kerry! Remember me talking about Somer in the last blog? Well, thats her momma...Im sure you will be hearing about her in future blogs too....she's pretty cool! :)

Love Don't Run
So as you can probably see I have finally thought of a name for this blog. Lessons and Lullabies...still catchy huh? Well the reason is I have realized I learn life lessons just about everyday and the lullabies part comes from the kids in my life. Youll be hearing about them a lot!
This morning I drove the hour and fourty-five minute drive to attend church at Plainview Jesus Name Church. Now let me tell you this is one rocking church and its very special to my heart. Well service was awesome as usual but something happened today that really put some things into perspective for me and get this....it came from a 10 year old girl. Yep, you heard me right God spoke to me today through a little girl. Now let me give you a little background information on this girl. Somer has a pretty big piece of my heart. There has always been something special about Somer. I cant even put my love for her in words and I would do absolutly anything for her. She also comes from a family that is very important to me. I mean these people are some of the best you'll ever meet. Anyway, Somer sat by me in church today and in the middle of the service she hands me a little braclet that says "Besties" on it and says "Youre my best friend and its time for you to come home." Whoa. Not really what you expect to hear from a little girl. Then the thought hit me....I'm a run away. For the past three months I have been on the run. Not literally but spiritually. See I have a tendancy to just take flight when something gets to hard but here is the kicker....With God you can run as hard and fast as you want too but you can never out run God and his plans for you.
Kind of a lot to chew on huh? Yeah, youre telling me.
So all afternoon I have heard her words ringing in my ear and Ive been thinking, want to hear the solution Ive come too? Im sure you do so here goes. The running stops today. My new plan in life is to be still and let God be God, fall into his arms, and put all my trust in Him. Trust that he will mend broken friendships, mend broken hearts, and put all the pieces together. God always works it out for the good of his people. Everyday I am going to wear this "Besties" bracelet as a reminder that Gods plans are the greatest plans and that home is where the heart is.
On a lighter note.....I work everyday this week, have 2 tests due, start my workouts everynight with a personal trainer, have church wednesday night, dance and broadway on Thursday night and girls day Saturday. Pray that I make it through lol...no seriously! :)
